Rotation Workshops
Imagine stepping back into Bible times... dressing as a shepherd, a Roman soldier, even an Egyptian Queen. You can take off your shoes and stomp grapes to make grape juice, or learn how to mix dirt, straw and water with your feet to make your own mud bricks just as the Israelite slaves did so long ago. From there, you step into another room to take your turn at playing "Plague Twister" or follow "The Road to Bethlehem" as you hone your Bible knowledge with games, Bible stories and music. Express your creative side as you interpret lessons from the Bible through wire or clay sculpture, create 3D maps, or use tissue paper for colorful decoupage. All of these learning discoveries are just some of what makes the Rotation Workshops an exciting part of the Christian Education program at GCCP. We encourage our students to explore the lessons of the Bible through art, drama, puppetry, music, stories and games as they rotate through lesson workshops for a series of 3 weeks. This reinforcement of each lesson allows them to learn in a variety of ways, tapping into their individual learning styles. In addition to our workshops, our students participate in several Mission Outreach programs throughout the year, supporting both local and worldwide missions. Our rotation workshop programs are open to children ages K through 5th grade.
